WHY PARTNER WITH US

We rely on support from Charitable Trusts, personal Patrons, and Partners to fully fund our work and the 10-month programme for every kid. For those already involved, this provides an opportunity to help transform the lives of invisible kids, for life.

For all Partner enquiries, please contact Claire Kinloch

“The Polar Academy provides these invisible children with the support, encouragement and belief that they can achieve whatever they want and transform their lives into what they should be”

– Innes Taylor, Patron

HOW TO BECOME A PATRON

If you want to create a lifelong legacy and support a transformative youth charity focused on using the power of exploration to provide young adults with skills and beliefs that will set them up for life, get in touch.

For all Patron enquiries, please contact Claire Kinloch.

Baillie Gifford has been supporting The Polar Academy since 2015. During this time, we have worked closely with the team and have heard first-hand the challenges faced by the young people involved with the programme. We have seen the transformation that they undergo and the enormous impact this has on their lives.

The Polar Academy works with young people struggling with extremely difficult mental health issues and low levels of self-esteem. We value our relationship with The Polar Academy and are proud to be supporting a team that has such a meaningful and life changing impact on so many young people’s lives.

“The opportunity to take part in a trek to Greenland would have been unimaginable for the young people from our region, as it would be for most. Training was a very worthwhile experience; pushing and challenging them to reach levels of skill, confidence, and self-belief.

We can often use the term ‘life-changing’ without really meaning it; however, this is one experience that really is a definition of the term.”

Karen Ward Boyd, Director, Holywood Trust
